35 Mile Road Biking RideGay Outdoors Bike Trip Frog Meadow
Join Scott and Dave for a 35 mile ride (a 45 mile option is also available) through the beautiful Connecticut River Valley. Known by locals as the "Tri State Ride" because it goes through the states of Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire this ride is like riding through a real picture postcard. The ride is moderately hilly. Half way through the ride we will stop in Northfield, MA at an ice cream stand for snacks and an ice cream cone!

Participants should be experienced cyclists and have road bikes, not hybrids or mountain bikes. We will be riding at a moderate pace of 14-15 mph. Maps will be provided. We will meet in Brattleboro at noon and expect to be done by 4:00, afterwards participants are welcome to come to Frog Meadow for a hot tub and dip in the pond (if it's warm enough!)

There is no charge for joining us on the ride and we will be posting the event on the Gay Outdoors web site.

Saturday and Sunday July 13-14
AND Saturday to Sunday September 14-15naked yoga at frog meadow!

Join us this July and September for a 2-Day Yoga, Massage & Wellness Weekend at Frog Meadow!
Our returning Yogi, John Poupore, will be with us for 2 days of yoga, pilates and much more.  Each morning session will precede breakfast and will be focused on waking the body with a variety of yoga poses, self-massage, pilates, and Chinese energy work. Partner poses may also be incorporated.  Additional private or small group sessions will be available later each day. Sessions will take place unclothed and in a quiet and warm setting. Yoga mats are provided.

Private or group sessions can be tailored to meet the desires of the individual or group, and can include intensive work on various yoga asanas, a quick 30 minute session with various chi gung, or energy exercises, or a longer session involving more repetition to really charge up your body.  If you want to learn some of the fundamentals of Pilates, then this would also be a good time to explore that as well.

No prior yoga experience is necessary. You may participate in as many or as few yoga sessions as you like. See below for how you can save when you book yoga sessions in advance.

Throughout the weekend, you can also pamper yourself with a 60- or 90-minute massage with Dave, relax in our wood-fired hot tub, take advantage of the amenities at Frog Meadow, including the gym, hiking trails, skinny dip and sun by the pond, or just find a shady spot and read a book!
Jon Poupore
Jon Poupore has been leading yoga and tai chi sessions for 7 years, with a particular emphasis on the challenges for the middle-aged male body.  His individual and his taught practice draws on a great variety of traditions but does not adhere exclusively to any single one. Jon always emphasizes awareness, safety, good breath and ease, even when the work is challenging. Jon lives in Portland Maine with his partner James and his two cats keep the house cozy and warm.

60-minute yoga sessions are $15 when booked before July 1, and are $20 thereafter or when booked on-site. Custom private sessions can also be arranged, call for rates and details.

To book your weekend you may call us at 877-365-7242 or book online through our Availability Calendar After selecting your lodging the yoga sessions will be offered on the following page. Choose as many as many sessions as you like keeping in mind that you may add more when you are here.

Saturday July 13-Sunday August 11
The Marlboro Music FestivalMarlboro Music Frog Meadow
A retreat for advanced classical training and musicianship held for seven weeks each summer in nearby Marlboro. Vermont’s version of Tanglewood, only better and much closer! Marlboro Music is acclaimed world-wide as an institution devoted to artistic excellence and to developing new musical leaders who illuminate all areas of music today. It is where the concept of having master artists play together with exceptional young professional musicians was born—initiating a dynamic new approach to learning.

Under the Artistic Direction of celebrated pianists Richard Goode and Mitsuko Uchida, it is, perhaps, the only place where leading musicians can spend up to seven weeks exchanging ideas, and rehearsing in depth nearly 240 works each summer.

After three weeks of intensive daily rehearsals, Marlboro presents a portion of its musical collaborations at weekend concerts, held from mid-July to mid-August. Audiences share in the infectious spirit of discovery—hearing exciting young artists, insightful interpretations of chamber music masterworks, and unfamiliar pieces—all played with great passion and joy.

Public music performances are held each weekend, tickets required. Order tickets online here or call 802-254-2394 for more information www.marlboromusic.org

Saturday July 20

6th Annual Frog Meadow Fundraiser Garden PartyFrog Meadow
We are again pleased to host a fund raising event and garden party to benefit local men's community service organizations on Saturday, July 20, from 3 to 8pm at Frog Meadow Farm... THE gay event of the summer season! (rain date: Sunday July 21)

Please note: We have changed the format this year from a BBQ dinner prepared by Frog Meadow to a pot luck garden party in order to save on expenses and insure that a maximum amount of dollars goes to the local support organizations.

Arrive any time after 3:00 with dinner served at 5:00. Since Frog Meadow does not have a license to serve alcohol this will be a BYOB event. Please bring a dish of your choice, preferably made by you and not prepared supermarket food. Bring enough to serve about eight to ten people.

Come and enjoy the lovely and secluded natural environment of Frog Meadow Farm, including the beautiful gardens, extensive hiking trails, and swimming pond. This is a mostly clothed event. Nudity will be allowed for skinny dipping and sunning by the pond but otherwise this is a clothed event. There will be croquet, bocce, and other lawn games to enjoy! In addition, raffle tickets will be available the day of the event for all kinds of goodies! Your suggested $35 donation includes a valuable door prize drawing and provides you with access to the grounds. If you can contribute more than $35, or are unable to attend but would like to donate, you are encouraged to do so! Stay tuned to this page or Contact Us for more information on how to buy tickets and to make donations.

Heart-Centered Touch Retreat
Because of the strong turnout for last fall's Heart-Centered Touch Massage Retreat Weekend, we are pleased to have Adam Brown return to Frog Meadow to facilitate a spring retreat the weekend of May 3-5 and also an additional event October 25-27!

Description: Heart Centered Touch 3 guys

The Heart-Centered Touch Retreat is limited to 14 so reserve your spot early and save!

An intimate group of 14 men will explore the power of touch as a transformational and spiritual way of being. Imagine asking for the kind of touch you want and getting it? Imagine learning how to touch with sensitivity, compassion and skill and finding out that it is easy? Imagining practicing how to create and maintain deeper connections with men and finding out we all want the same thing!

This is the essence of Heart-Centered Touch. We teach simple massage skills and different ways to use those skills. We set intentions for ourselves and are supported by the group in doing it. Most of all, we delight in the exploration and in the discovery that touch, sensuality and erotic expression are powerful and enjoyable ways to be alive. In exploring the basic principles of tantra, we discover that pleasure is a valid and true path toward joy and spiritual attunement.

The Heart-Centered Touch Retreat is ideal for couples wanting to add compassionate, sensual touch to their relationships, or singles seeking to connect with men in new ways. As part of the weekend retreat we will rotate partners so that everyone will have the opportunity to work with each other, both giving & receiving touch. There will be plenty of time to practice and to relax and get acquainted. All of us at the retreat form a tribe of heart-centered men, committed to each other's growth and well-being. Our time together is a gift exchange. No prior experience with massage is necessary. Space is limited to 14 so reserve your spot early and save!
