Family is what the place is about!

To me, the key to understanding any crowd of human beings is determining why they’re gathered in a particular place to interact. Why there? Why not somewhere else? Gay owned establishments exist, for the most part, because members of the LGBTQ Community need a specific place to gather where they won’t be judged and won’t be made to feel they’re wrong for the views or conversation they bring in front of the heteronormative majority in America. Although that trend is changing in the U.S., it still has a way to go.The Bed and Breakfast, Frog’s Meadow, is a gay male owned and operated business, small, quiet, and intimate. They offer naked yoga, massage, there is an outside wood fired hot tub, and numerous hiking trails in the area. Old stone walls of unknown age meander everywhere. The surrounding community in the city is very gay friendly, progressive, and there is a welcoming feeling to the place. The smell of the wood-fired hot tub and cool air this time of year smacks you in the face as you walk out the door. The B&B is meant as a getaway to relax. The stereotypical family “picture” isn’t meant to be on display at Frog Meadow, but family is what the place is about. The men go here to be themselves and bathe in their gender oriented family, for a short while, and enjoy the offerings of the Inn. Oh, and Dave’s breakfast cooking skills are to die for!Dave and Scott run the place, and you know you are welcome from the moment you walk in the door. The Inn is meticulously kept up, and stylish. You feel both as if you’re in Vermont, but also in a very safe space to relax. I can’t give them enough Kudos on the place. We will return in the future to be sure.
