Hey Guys it’s Scott & Dave! We have SO missed all of you and look forward to our summer reopening and having you back with us! Details about our summer reopening plans are below

Here we are, several months into 2021 and there are clear signs of progress on several fronts… a new leadership team in Washington, rapidly progressing COVID vaccinations, and new financial support programs that are being implemented. We see – in two words – hopeful progress on the road back to normal.

We have SO missed all of you and look forward to our summer reopening and having you back with us. Details about our summer reopening plans are below!

Staying connected with the Frog Meadow community since we closed in March 2020 has been a source of much comfort and sanity for us. After a dozen-plus years of hosting men from all over the world and sharing our slice of paradise that is southeast Vermont, it is quite a contrast for us to be alone and the only ones at at Frog Meadow! During the uncertainty of the past year, we’ve kept ourselves healthy, safe, sane and ensured a good night’s sleep with the routine of cycling and cross-country skiing – activities that have brought us joy individually and together since we met nearly 30 years ago. We’ve also felt an enormous sense of fulfillment from supporting others:

  • Socially Distanced Fundraising: Dave cycled an incredible 8,428 miles and raised over $3,500 for the Equal Justice Initiative in 2020! Click for details, pics and video

Dave’s Ride for Equal Justice: In 2020 Dave cycled an incredible 8,428 miles and raised over $3,500 for the Equal Justice Initiative, a non-profit committed to ending mass incarceration and excessive punishment in the U.S., challenging racial and economic injustice, and protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable people in American society.

  • LGBTQ+ Scholarship Fund: In 2020 we launched a new LGBTQ+ Scholarship Fund at The New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) where over a third of those enrolled (professionals, adults and kids) are either LGBTQ+ and/or are being raised in same-sex parent households. Our benefit event – held just prior to COVID lockdown – raised nearly $5,000 and has already resulted in three scholarship awards to date!
  • Thanks for Your Encouragement: We’ve also found great comfort hearing from many of you. Thank you for the kind words, calls, emails, texts, messages on Facebook and for staying in touch!

Over the past 12+ months our daily routine at Frog Meadow has helped us to cope, process, stay firmly in the groove and to grow. More than this, it has confirmed what I’m sure you’ve heard us say before – that Frog Meadow remains an expression of our deepest passions: Namely, creating joy for ourselves and others through providing a Gay Oasis in Vermont. It’s a purposeful and worthy pursuit that has kept us grounded during challenging times.

With the Above in Mind We are Firmly Focused on Looking Ahead:

  • On the eve of COVID Lockdown, we hosted an LGBTQ+ Scholarship Benefit for the New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA), raising nearly $5,000! Click for details, pics and video

Summer Reopening: We will reopen this summer based on guidance from the State of Vermont and have enabled our lodging reservation calendar starting July 1. Note that we will be open only to guests who are able to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 in order to safely maintain an environment without social distancing or masking while on-property. Click here to check availability and to book your reservation.

  • Reopening Safety & Health Protocols: When we reopen we will take every appropriate precaution for the safety and health of our lodging guests and will follow guidance from the CDC and State of Vermont.
  • Work Camp Gay Retreats and Men's Workshops Frog Meadow New England's Best All Male Gay Resort in Southern Vermont

Spring Work Camp and Garden Fellowship programs are now scheduled for late May through June. Click the image or here for details and to register

Policies: We have temporarily updated our Cancellation Policy as noted on our Policies Page. Please be sure to review and understand these policies before booking as we will not be able to make any exceptions during this transition period.

It’s been a long, difficult year but as promised we have survived and are well positioned to bring Frog Meadow into the post-COVID world.

We miss you dearly and it is with this sense of deep pride in what we have created that we look forward to our Summer reopening and seeing you all again “on the other side” for our 15th season as Vermont’s Gay Oasis!

With gratitude, love and affection,

– Scott, Dave, Jay & Dan

Introducing Frog Meadow face masks, made exclusively for us by our friends at the New England Center for Circus Arts. All proceeds help fund NECCA’s LGBTQ+ Scholarship Fund! Click for details and to order yours

P.S. Introducing Frog Meadow Face Masks! After several months of field testing we are pleased to introduce Frog Meadow reversible, convertible, adjustable and washable face masks, made exclusively for us by our friends at the New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA).

Made from frog-themed cotton fabric that will keep working to filter no matter how wet it gets – unlike paper, which stops working when it is moist because it relies on electrostatic quality to trap virus. These are reversible, two-layer masks designed to fit the contours of your face for a more stylish fit. The mask includes a built-in nosepiece for fitting over the bridge of your nose and fits comfortably under your chin. $17 each, free shipping!

Proceeds of all mask sales will be contributed to NECCA’s LGBTQ Scholarship Fund. Over a third of the students – and coaches – in NECCA’s programs are either LGBTQ+ and/or are being raised in same-sex parent households. NECCA is an oasis of support, trust, love and positive reinforcement for these LGBTQ+ kids, adults and families! Click here for more info and to order
