The Main House South Room has a king bed, air conditioning and beautiful views of the Vermont hills, the swimming pond and our perennial gardens.

The Main House South Room has a king bed (with a plush yet firm pillow top mattress) and beautiful views of the Vermont hills, the swimming pond and gardens. With southwestern exposure the room is bright and sunny and has wonderful cross breezes. On the rare occasion that it does get warm and muggy at night there is quiet central air conditioning. A generously sized full bath tiled in beautiful blue handmade ceramics is shared with the North Room.

Your stay at Frog Meadow comes complete with a full, made-to-order country breakfast prepared daily. Full access to the gym, wood-fired hot tub, swimming pond, 63-acre trail network and surrounding gardens, orchard and grounds are included in the room rate for lodging guests at Frog Meadow.

All bed linens at Frog Meadow are high thread count Egyptian cotton. To ensure a good night’s sleep, the mattress in the Main House South room is high-quality pillow-top innerspring mattress.

For your convenience there is a campus-wide Mesh Wi-Fi network that provides high-speed internet access throughout the property including the Main House, Carriage House, the Brook Cottage, the Honey Bee Cottage, the gardens, orchard, meadow and the swimming pond areas at Frog Meadow. The download speed is approximately 200 mbps.

A Week’s Worth of Fun and Relaxation in Two Days

I want to thank you for another great couple of days at Frog Meadow. On the ride back home, we kept talking about all the wonderful experiences we had over the weekend….I’m still having quite a bit of afterglow as I write this!   Here is what we were able to pack into two days up on the hill at Frog Meadow:

  • The Gallery Walk in Brattleboro on Friday night and seeing some great art, some fun art and some question marks that made us think…
  • Dinner and martinis at Fireworks (I had the fig, prosciutto and Gorgonzola pizza and Ron had the plank-grilled salmon)…
  • Hot tubbing and cocktails with new friends…
  • Breakfast of apple buckwheat waffles and bacon…
  • Some insight into the devastation and personal impact of Hurricane Irene while driving up the Rock River Valley…
  • Pressing cider with local families and new friends — a very memorable experience…
  • Dinner at The Marina overlooking the West River at sunset…
  • Delicious french toast and sausage breakfast…
  • The Newfane Heritage Festival (I picked up some engraved slate coasters that I’m using as I write this)…
  • A visit to Dutton’s Farm Stand and seeing how they make cider…
  • The Dummerston Apple Pie Festival (complete with about 500 bikers and a trip across one of Vermont’s signature covered bridges)…
  • Laying in the sun and taking an outdoor shower surrounded by spider lilies, scented with the familiar and unique balsam and cedar “Lumberjack” fragrance of your organic soaps…
  • Watching the trees change color…
  • Visiting the Grafton Cheese store for yummy goodies on the way out…
  • Little traffic and a quick ride home…

Beyond sharing your wonderful world with us this past weekend, I want to thank you for all your warmth, consideration and hospitality during this past summer’s many visits to Frog Meadow. You guys and Frog Meadow have a very special place in my heart – and I want to say thank you for that.
